Student Loan Xpress Proposed Class Action Settlement Approved

Judge Merryday has issued his order granting final approval of the proposed class action settlement agreement for students that attended Silver State Helicopters School (“SSH”) and obtained student loans from Student Loan Xpress (“SLX”) and were still enrolled at SSH at the time that SSH filed bankruptcy. Judge Merryday has not yet entered a final judgment on that order. Class counsel has filed a joint motion with SLX to have Judge Merryday enter judgment ASAP. Class members can expect to receive updated loan information from SLX, including the new reduced amount of their loan balance and their loan payments, in the next 30-60 days.
